The Cretaceous Period
Animals
Cretaceous dinosaurs appeared. The armored Ankylosaurus, Duckbilled Parasaurolophus, and Tyrannosaurus were dinosaurs that evolved very quickily. There were more bird and flowering plants emerging. At the end of the Cretaceous period, all ruling reptiles, except the crocodile, went extinct.
